Aeon & Star developed Steel Legion, which launched on September 10, 2024. The classic Metroidvania style is the inspiration for this action-platformer. The game combines exploration, combat, and a traditional 8-bit storyline with a cyberpunk future setting. As a cyborg warrior, you will fight in a dystopian city overrun by robots, machines, and contaminated artificial intelligence.

How to Play Steel Legion

Getting Started

• Choose your platform: Since Steel Legion is a custom NES game, you can play it on a PC emulator or on the original NES hardware with cartridges. Since survival depends on precise controls, make sure you have your controller ready before you start.
• Know your objective: The main goal is to explore a cyberpunk city, defeat bosses, and collect upgrades that allow you to access new areas. Finding the right skill at the right time is crucial to progression, just like in other Metroidvania games.

Basic Controls

Movement

• Use the D-pad to move left or right.
• Press A to jump.
• Hold direction while jumping to reach platforms or cross gaps.

Combat

• To fire your primary weapon, press B.
• Some upgrades will give you more powerful shots or unique missiles that use less ammo.
• If you attack too quickly, enemies can overwhelm you.

Interactions

• To interact, press the action button when standing near a door, switch, or NPC.
• Some areas will be locked until you get the right item or ability.
